| H.G.S.'S Humble Beginnings
Hobart Girls Softball, Inc. was founded in 1962 by
Marilyn Goss and was one of the original members of U.G.S.I. Mrs. Goss
mortgaged her own home to purchase the property on which the "Goss
Softball Complex" is currently located. H.G.S. has been contributing to
the growth and development of Hobart's female youth for over 45 years.
From its humble beginnings in 1962, H.G.S. has grown into an
organization that currently serves approximately 300 plus girls and
young women every season. The H.G.S. fields were officially named "Goss
Softball Complex" in 1993. Sadly Mrs. Goss passed away in 1998. |
